CNC Foundations was tasked to provide crucial foundation support of 2 towers, 4 floors each, and a connecting bridge in tight quarters in the city of Philadelphia.
CNC Foundations undertook a project in the city of Philadelphia, where our expertise was needed to provide crucial foundation support. The project’s scope included the construction of two structures, each comprising four floors, with a bridge connecting them. The project site also presented the challenge of having a substantial amount of loose soil.
The project’s challenges were multifaceted, beginning with the site’s constrained conditions. Maneuvering machinery into the precise locations required for aggregate pier installation proved to be a tough task. CNC Foundations’ team of engineers who strive to be your first choice in ground improvement responded by designing a foundation system that not only met the required bearing capacity, but also allowed for a smooth installation of the piers. Amidst the conditions, CNC Foundations faced the additional challenge of shoring up walls and navigating around existing breakers.
In the face of these challenges, CNC Foundations delivered a project that flowed remarkably smoothly. The client expressed excellent satisfaction with the ground improvement solutions we provided, emphasizing the quality and effectiveness of our work. Even when dealing with the loose soil on the site, CNC Foundations met the required foundation standards. We accomplished this within the schedule needed by our client. CNC Foundations overcame site-specific challenges and delivered successful outcomes in foundation support.
