East 91st St Church

Installing Stone Columns

Ground Improvement – Installing Helical Piles

PROJECT OVERVIEW

The East 91st Street Christian Church on the north side of Indianapolis needed to add on to their current facilities. Original designs called for auger cast piles however, limited access on the site made the auger cast piles costly and difficult to install.

REQUIREMENTS AND CHALLENGES

A product needed to be installed to support two new additions to the sanctuary of the church while still saving money, time and headache for the church.

SOLUTION AND RESULTS

CNC Foundations installed 52 new construction AB Chance helical piles at the church as an alternate to the auger cast piles which were called for in the original design. The installation was completed in two working days with little waste and no spoils, while providing considerable cost savings to the church.
