Discover how we provided ground improvement services for a manufacturing plant in Little Rock.
This project was located in Little Rock, Arkansas, and involved CNC Foundations being contracted to deliver a ground improvement solution. The ultimate goal was the transformation of the site into a manufacturing plant. CNC Foundations was tasked with installing 1730 vibratory stone columns (VSCs). The VSCs ranged from 15 feet to 20 feet in depth. Piers were installed in a 10 by 10 grid pattern to maximize the area and get to the bearing capacity.
The load requirements on this project were uniquely high, creating a challenge for the CNC Foundations engineering team to be able to make a design that met those standards. The project required CNC Foundations to use unique design, and innovation in order to properly provide a ground improvement solution for such a large bearing capacity.
CNC Foundations was successfully able to design and install a system of piers that brought the soil’s bearing capacity to a point where it was safe to build phase two of this project. The client was satisfied with the work, which CNC Foundations completed in a timely manner.
