Field Engineer (Heavy Travel)

The services we specialize in include: Micropiles, Vibratory-Stone Columns, Helicals, Rigid Inclusions, and Aggregate Piers. We are looking to add a Field Engineer to our team. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing, family-owned and oriented company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support various projects (micropiles, aggregate piers, and rigid inclusion) to ensure compliance with contract documents.
- Document field activities, observations, and performance of load testing.
- Maintain detailed field installation logs, track overages, and monitor the number of piles installed, as well as other aspects of project installation.
- Communicate effectively with field crews and the design team.
- Troubleshoot changes in field conditions during the construction phase.
- Foster positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Track deadlines and manage project timelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Organization: Must be highly organized and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure all aspects of projects are completed without oversight.
- Communication: Exhibits strong written and oral communication skills and practices effective listening.
- Problem Solving: Collaborate with field personnel and management to quickly resolve issues.
- Travel: This position requires heavy travel, often at short notice, to various project sites.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (geotechnical, civil, construction management) or a related field.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
