Field Engineer (Heavy Travel)

We are looking to add a Field Engineer to our team. This is a great opportunity to join a rapidly growing, family-owned and oriented company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Support various projects (micropiles, aggregate piers, and rigid inclusion) to ensure compliance with contract documents.
  • Document field activities, observations, and performance of load testing.
  • Maintain detailed field installation logs, track overages, and monitor the number of piles installed, as well as other aspects of project installation.
  • Communicate effectively with field crews and the design team.
  • Troubleshoot changes in field conditions during the construction phase.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues.
  • Track deadlines and manage project timelines.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • Organization: Must be highly organized and capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously. Attention to detail is crucial to ensure all aspects of projects are completed without oversight.

  • Travel: This position requires heavy travel, often at short notice, to various project sites.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (geotechnical, civil, construction management) or a related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office.

Compensation: Commensurate with experience.
