PROJECT OVERVIEW

Carmel/Clay Board of Parks and Recreation Central Park Community Recreation Center. The design incorporated an elevated boardwalk adjacent to a lagoon.

REQUIREMENTS AND CHALLENGES

SOLUTION AND RESULTS

We installed over 300 Helical Piles to accommodate the design criteria for support of the proposed boardwalk.
The Helical Pile System utilized a 2 7/8″ diameter galvanized special alloy steel shaft with a helical plate situated at the bearing end of each pile. The helical plate aided in the installation of the pile as it pulled the shaft down into competent bearing strata.
The Helical Pile System is ideal not only for this application but for many other conditions where access, equipment concerns, convenience, and efficiency are requirements.

Helitech completed the installation of the Helical Piles, providing a sound foundation on which the boardwalk could be built, in a timely and cost effective manner.
